Degital Signal Programming (DSP)

Digital Signal Processing is the basis of many areas of technology, from mobile phones to modems and multimedia PCs. DSP devices account for a significant proportion of worldwide semiconductor sales, amounting to billions of dollars annually. A digital signal processor (DSP) is a specialized Microprocessor designed specifically for Digital Signal Processing generally in real-time computing.

An enormous range of applications that the DSP covers are:
Audio Compression, Digital Image Processing, Video Compression, Speech Processing, Speech recognition, Digital Communications, RADAR, SONAR, Seismology, Biomedicine.
